Malaysia Federal Govt says can take over Splash restructuring from Selangor

KUALA LUMPUR (March 13): Malaysia's Federal Government can take over Syarikat Pengeluar Air Sungai Selangor Sdn Bhd's (Splash) restructuring from the Selangor State Goverment under the National Water Services Industry Act 655.

Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili said in Parliament today that the Federal Government can take over Splash's restructuring under Section 114 of the National Water Services Industry Act 655. Ongkili said the clause can only be activated in the name of national security.
