KUALA LUMPUR (March 12): Malaysia's industrial production in January likely rose 7.1% from a year ago, a Reuters poll showed, accelerating from the previous month on a surge in manufacturing output.
Growth estimates from 10 economists, however, ranged widely between 4.2% and 9.2%.
Factory output had risen 2.9% in December from a year earlier, weighed down by weakness in the mining sector.
